Smoking Is Morally Wrong
A quote in a New Zealand article on the electronic cigarette perfectly reveals the attitude anti-smoking groups have towards electronic cigarettes.
Despite the fact that New Zealand researcher Dr Murray Laugeson had declared that electronic cigarettes were far safer than regular cigarettes, anti-smoking group Quit stated they were hesitant about endorsing the product even though they acknowledged that electronic cigarettes:
“… provide nicotine without the thousands of damaging chemicals found in cigarettes and tobacco, which is certainly a good thing.”
The reason?
“Our concern is that, at face value, they appear to reinforce the behaviour of having a cigarette. It’s reinforcing the wrong habit and potentially without addressing the addiction.”
Translation: smoking is morally wrong, even if it is not bad for you..

You are so right in pointing out how the reduced risk of this product suddenly lose relevance once addiction enters the picture.
Makes you want to scream out "but you are no longer going to die!!; doesn't that count for something?"
I just what right these pompous, self-righteous anti-smokers have to tell the rest of the world how to live.
Provide advice, yes, inform us about the dangers of smoking, fine, help people quit smoking, great, but dictate how other people should live their lives?
If you are buying an e-cigarette just make sure you do your research before you buy! I went through four brands before finally finding ProSmoke. God, is it ever possible to have a proper conversation without one of you idiots promoting your electronic cigarettes with useless links?
Okay, let's discuss – what tests has your electronic cigarette had? What quality control do you have? How often do you check your factory in China? Has your electronic cigarette been tested by trading standards – and been proven to contain NO toxins in its vapour? Do you pay thousands of pounds a year for product liability? If your best marketing efforts consists of spamming other blogs, I seriously doubt you can answer positive to any of the above.
