I can’t get in the lifeboat, it’s not FDA approved! (ECigarette Cartoon)

For a change, I thought I’d do a cartoon instead of a blog post 😉

The quote is from Professor Siegel – you can read his great blog on tobacco harm reduction and electronic cigarettes here, or see more great quotes in our post 32 Great Electronic Cigarette Quotes.

Siegel uses the lifeboat quote to highlight the absurdity of smokers not switching to ecigarettes because they have not been approved by the FDA.

Just in case you can’t see the image, the full quote reads:

“Electronic cigarettes are a potential lifeboat. No, they have not been tested and approved by the FDA. But if you were in a sinking shop, would you remain in the shop because lifeboats had not been FDA-tested and approved?”

The image above was actually our second attempt – this was our first attempt at the cartoon:

  1. That dr Siegel’s metaphor is spot on. Drawing 1 – I’d just add more question and exclamation marks in the cloud (to show all media anti-ecig noise inflicting damage to smoker’s health and life).
