Does the electronic cigarette smell?

Q. Does it really not smell?

Smelling an orchid.

A. The sensation is the same, the smell is not! At most when someone else is using an electronic cigarette, you may get a whiff of whatever flavour they are using. However, there is no lingering smell of stale tobacco. Your clothes will not reek of smoke - and neither will you you.

In addition to losing the lingering scent of stale tobacco, you may find your own sense of smell improves.

According to our survey of e-cigarette users (which was analysed by researchers at the TobaccoHarmReduction.org project), many people find their own sense of smell improves:

“The majority of the respondents indicated that their general health, smoker’s cough, ability to exercise, sense of smell and sense of taste were better since starting to use e-cigarettes.”
