The Amazing Electronic Cigarette
How The Smoker's Halo Electronic Cigarette Works
The e-cigarette is a device designed to simulate the process of smoking. It looks like a cigarette, and the end lights up when you inhale, but produces no smoke or tar. So how does it work?
The white end of the e-cig is the lithium battery container. Two of these are provided in our main starter kit, so you should never be without your e-cigarette.
The brown end is the cartridge. Inside is a liquid which contains nicotine, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine (also used to make stage smoke) and an atomiser which heats up the liquid to create vapour. This is known as eliquid, and you can read about how we make it here.
What you inhale is not smoke, but vapor containing nicotine. However, when you exhale the vapor is present – and closely resembles smoke.
When you inhale, you activate the electronic circuits contained within the electronic cigarette. This initiates the vaporization process, heating up the eliquid and turning it into vapour - and makes the end of the cigarette glow red (unless you have chosen a blue led battery!)
When you cease inhaling the vaporization will finish, with the cigarette returning to stand-by mode. The cigarette is battery operated, and can be recharged using the equipment provided.
The nicotine itself is contained in cartridges, which come in strengths of extra-high, high, medium, low - and zero strength.
How the Halo Tank System Works
Tank systems function in a similar way to regular ecigarettes. The key differences are:
- a more powerful battery, giving a stronger throat hit and a longer life
- a clear cartridge (called a clearomiser) which allows you to use many different eliquids
- a manual button you press to activate the electronic cigarette
- the ability to turn off the ecigarette for safe storage

A healthy or healthier cigarette?
Note that this is not a healthy cigarette. Nicotine is in of itself a chemical that can damage the body. However, most smoking diseases are caused by the smoke from a cigarette, not by nicotine. That's why most scientists believe ecigarettes could be 100 times or more safer than tobacco cigarettes.
