If electronic cigarettes were banned OR became unavailable for a period of time OR became extremely difficult to obtain, would you return to only smoking cigarettes?
- My smoking-induced wheezing and productive cough are gone. I don't want those back.
- But wouldn't want to as electronic cigarettes are much safer, cleaner & healthier!
- If I returned to smoking cigarettes, my health would deteriorate quickly.
- Since smoking the electronic cigarette I have cut the level of nicotine down to zero , the traditional cigarette is too harsh for me now .
- I would definitely look for a satisfying nicotine source. Gum, patch and inhalator are not satisfying, but I might try snus and/or snuff instead.
- I have been stocking up for 14 months.
- I would continue to find the product...
- Having freed myself from a 30 year+ tobacco dependancy with e-cigs I would take whatever steps seemed necessary to secure my supplies.
- please do not ban them. i will die. i have cancer from smoking tobacco
- I would turn to vaporized tobacco and snus.
- Sadly I think I would have to if e-cigarettes are banned
- But I would exhaust every avenue to continue obtaining electronic cig. products. Iam basically a law abiding citizen - but a Ban or other type of removal from the market would be totally unjust - I have educated myself about the facts am well aware of the misinformation and fear-mongering being disseminated by the FDA, ALA, AHA, ACS and others and it is shameless!! This corruption will eventually come to the light - if it is the Last thing I do, I swear that the entire truth will be made Very Public! I am a 56 yr old professional in the health care industry (for the past twenty-six years) I am not a fanatic, nor do I make idle promises.
- But I'd definitely rather not
- Very possibly, but I'd try not to. My hope is that they don't get banned!
- I didn't swap from smoking to ecigs to quit, I swapped because they reduced the harm.
- ONLY if I could not get electronic cigarettes AT ALL.
- I am stocking up on parts and liquids, but would try to reduce my e-cig usage without smoking tobacco.
- Maybe. I'd definetly try to keep mine in working order.
- I'll still use them.
- Banning these devices would be a travesty. There has been no other option that I've tried that has completely made me quit smoking except e-cigs. I feel healthy, I run quite a bit now, my sense of taste and smell has returned. Why in hell would you ban such a thing?
- In Australia, they are illegal, but easy to obtain (from China) so I continue to use them.
- I would use my Iolite. If that became unavailable then yes, I would be forced to smoke.
- Anything I can do to thwart a ban of electronic cigarettes, let me know. They are GREAT! Especially NJOY's
- I would try not to but am afraid I would return, but only if I could not get hold of e-cigs in any viable way (including illegal ways)
- I'd have to try other smokeless options before I went back to smoking.
- I enjoy smoking, and only smoked 20 cigs per week, I occassional use the electronic cigarette now as it is cheaper and healthier to myself.
- We are already getting close to this position
- Cigarettes are unappealing to me now. I suppose I could get used to them again if I had to.
- After more than a year without cigarettes I hope that I would be able to refrain. Also, see next question
- I go to snus or chew
- I would be extremely annoyed with the United States government for allowing something as foolish as banning ecigs to occur. The ecig has improved my health, my family's well-being and saved me money.
- I would continue to purchase e-cig from the black market and/or quit.
- I don't think I could go back to cigarettes after more than two years without, but I'm not sure what I would do. I would definitely struggle !
- I think they stink can't stand to be near them!! Yuck Well hope I wouldn't anyway
I still smoke a few real cigarettes (3-5/per day). If e-cigs were banned, I would most likely go back to smoking 10-15 per day.
- If I couldn't get them on the "black market", yes, I would probably go back to smoking
- i have been cutting down n my smoking and finding it easy to quit this time using ecig
- I would try not to smoke but I feel it is likely I would return to smoking.
- Can't help it. I enjoy the smoking sensation.
- I refuse to give the government, big tobacco, or the pharmaceutical companies any more money.
- Cigarettes only after underground supplies dried up
- It may be that I wouldn't return to smoking, and I'd certainly like to think so, but given the difficulty I had in giving up using standard methods, that it's a cause for major concern
- I've tried so many ways to quit, and this is the only one that worked. But I have no doubt that if e-cigs weren't available, I'd be right back to where I was . . . smoking.
- I would get my e-cigs somehow
- The electronic option is a much better option, both from the economic standpoint and from the point of view of not paying all that tax!
- I dread to even think about not being able to to purchase them.I am so much more healthier now, I can climb the stairs with ease.
- When I ran out of cartridges I bought cigarettes
- i answered no because i honistly dont know.
- hope not
- I guess I am addicted to the nicotine which the Ecig satisfies
- Would do my best, anyway!
- it would be very difficult but having felt so much heatlthier without real cigarettes a ban would be catastrophic for me
- If electronic cigarettes are banned or become difficult to obtain, the efforts made by people who have worked hard to give up smoking would be undermined. I would estimate that 60-70% of these people would return to smoking within a month.
- i like to think i could give up!
- I have found this a very helpful tool for cutting down my smoking and have already gone from 12 to 15 a day "normal" cigarettes to 9 a day with the help of my electronic cigarette. This may not sound like much but this has been achieved in less than one week! I hope to cut my smoking down further and then swap to the electronic cigarette if still needed. The electronic cigarette has been the ONLY method which has helped me cut down my smoking as i am one of those people for whom patches absolutely do not work as i need to do something with my hands. How ridiculous that they want to ban this - do they not want people to try and give up smoking?
