Please note: The CE5 Clearomiser included in New Ultra Tank Kits do not have replaceable wicks.
When I first filmed this, the CE5 clearomiser was the best of its type that I had come across. However, it has since been surpassed by the range of Aspire Bottom Dual Coil clearomisers which has the advantages of:
- dual coils for a better throat hit
- bottom coil design ensuring that eliquid always soaks into the wick
However, the CE5 remains a good, basic clearomiser which gets the job done, and is this video I review how to use.
Stripping and Cleaning the CE5
Simply hold onto the bottom of the clearomiser and unscrew.
Run hot, but not boiling water, through the clearomiser to clean it.
Then leave overnight to dry to make sure it is completely dry, as it mustn’t be wet when you use it again.
Replacing the Atomiser and Wick
Inside the clearomiser is an atomiser and wick (note that the newer versions of the CE5 contain an internal wick instead of an external one, but the steps for replacing them are the same).
First, unscrew the bottom of the clearomiser. Then unscrew the atomiser and wick from the base of the clearomiser. Take a replacement and then screw it back in. You can now screw the whole thing back into the clearomiser.
