The Voopoo Argus GT II is a tough, powerful and stylish mod kit perfect for cloud chasers who love to vape outdoors.
The Argus GT II mod provides up to 200W and uses 2 x 18650 batteries for long-lasting power. This convenient replaceable design means you never have to be without your vape for long. When the batteries run out they can be quickly replaced with little interruption to your vaping.
Powered by the smart GENE.TT 2.0 chip, the Argus GT II offers 4 vaping modes. Users can choose from the easy to use Smart Mode, vapour boosting Turbo mode or the more advanced RBA and Temperature Control modes. (See more about these modes in the FAQs below.) Managing settings and viewing data is made easy thanks to the mod’s new user-friendly colour interface.
For protection against the elements the Argus GT II mod has a tough IP68 rated design, meaning it is resistant to water, dust and drops. A QS lock feature also helps both your coil and batteries last longer by preventing accidental firing. (See more about IP ratings in the FAQs below.)
The included Voopoo MAAT tank works with low-resistance, mesh design TPP coils to provide a Direct-Lung (DL) vape with plenty of flavour and vapour. The tank’s adjustable airflow ring allows you to further tailor your vape between airy and restricted.
Compatible E-liquids & Coils
The Argus GT II kit works with Voopoo TPP coils and is recommended for use with high VG e-liquids with a VG:PG ratio of 70:30 and above.
- 0.2Ω TPP-DM2 coil: 40 - 60W
- 0.15Ω TPP-DM3 coil: 80 - 100W
Who is the Voopoo Argus GT II kit for?
The Argus GT II is suited to intermediate to advanced vapers looking for a powerful, Direct-Lung mod kit. Its IP68 rating and convenient replaceable battery design also make it a great choice for vapers who like to spend a lot of time outdoors and want a device able to survive the elements.
What e-liquid can I use with the Voopoo Argus GT II kit?
When used with the included tank and coils, the Argus GT II is best used with high VG e-liquids with a VG:PG ratio of 70:30 and above.
What is Smart Mode?
Smart Mode is an intuitive feature that takes the guesswork out of controlling the power of devices and prevents the coil from burning out prematurely. In the Argus GT II, Smart Mode will detect the resistance of the coil being used and set the device’s output to the recommended wattage.
What does temperature control mean?
In VW mode, the resistance of the coil can change as the coil heats up. In Temperature Control mode, you set the resistance of your coil. The mod uses the resistance of the coil to detect any change in temperature. The mod will adjust or maintain power to keep consistency in resistance, and therefore temperature. This leads to a more consistent flavour profile and can also extend the life of the coil you are using.
Can I charge my Voopoo Argus GT II overnight?
Lithium batteries should not be left unattended when charging. It is also important to use an appropriate charger, such as the Veho Plug Adaptor. For more information see our battery safety infographic.
What Does IP68 Mean?
The Argus GT II has an IP rating of IP68 - meaning it is dustproof and can withstand water immersion of 1.5m for up to 30 minutes.
A device’s IP (Ingress Protection) rating refers to how dustproof and waterproof it is - expressed as a 2 digit code:
- Dustproof rating (1st digit): is expressed between 1 and 6 - with 1 meaning the device offers no special protection from dust and 6 meaning it is dustproof.
- Waterproof rating (2nd digit): is expressed between 1 and 8 - with 1 meaning there is no special protection from water and 8 meaning the device can withstand complete, continuous water submersion.
Can you wash a Voopoo MAAT tank?
Yes. Remove the tank from the device, remove the coil and empty out any e-liquid. Wash the tank out with warm (not boiling) water and ensure that it is fully dry before using it again. You can also clean the connections out with cotton to remove dust.
How long do the coils last?
Coil life depends on many factors, including how long you puff for, the e-liquid you use and the wattage you use your coil at. Low resistance coils, which are used at higher wattages, will not last as long as high resistance coils.
You can extend coil life by:
- Priming the coil before usage
- Using e-liquid with the right VG:PG ratios
- Not going above the recommended wattage
- Topping up your tank so that the coil never dries out
With care, the included TTP coils should last several days before needing to be replaced.

Using Your Tank: Best Practice
Follow these simple steps to get the most out of your tank.
- When filling, always avoid getting e-liquid in the centre tube.
- Don’t hold down the button before inhaling.
- When attaching the coil, screw it in firmly but don’t over-tighten.
- Make sure you use the right power settings. If unsure, check the manual or start with a low power setting and work your way up till you get the right hit.
The Right and Wrong Ways to Treat Batteries!
Battery Safety Information
- Ensure you use the correct charging equipment for your e-cig (see below).
- Charge batteries on a hard surface.
- Turn your battery off when not in use.
- Use damaged batteries.
- Leave charging batteries unattended.
- Allow contact between your batteries and water.
- Carry in a pocket with coins or keys. (The Kbag is a great way to carry batteries securely and safely).
- Expose your battery to sunlight, extreme heat or cold.
For more information see our E-Cig Battery Safety Infographic.
Recommended Charging Equipment
We recommend the Veho Plug Adaptor and the Nitecore Intelli charger (for external batteries). Both are high quality devices from a reputable manufacturer, have performed well in testing and have the right voltage output for e-cigs.
Extending Your E-Cig Battery Life
With regular usage, your e-cig battery will usually last for 3 months, although they can last longer. The following steps can help extend the life of your battery
- Cleaning your battery terminal. The most effective way to do this is to use a cotton swab soaked in alcohol, but you can also clean it with a tissue or a cotton swab.
- Keeping your battery charged. Keeping some charge in your battery can extend your battery life, especially if you go for some time without using it.
How To Maximise the Life Of Your Coils
Always allow your e-liquid to soak into your coil for at least five minutes before using it. This will help prevent your coil from burning out.
When you have a more powerful coil, or one with more wicking material, it’s also a good idea to prime it by applying a few drops of e-liquid into the coil holes before filling.
Once you’re using the device, it is important to keep your tank topped up. If the e-liquid gets too low and the coil is exposed, the coil can burn out.
