That was the verdict for at least 30% of the smokers in Europe who would have switched to a safer alternative – Snus – if it had not been made illegal.
That’s the verdict for at least 30% of smokers in countries like Australia and New Zealand who could have removed at least 99% of the risk (source: Dr Joel Nitzkin) of smoking by switching to electronic cigarettes.
And that will be the verdict for at least 30% of smokers in the US who could have used safer tobacco alternatives when the Philip Morris supported tobacco ban snuffs out e-cigs and other alternatives to smoking.

Hate groups masquerading as health advocates are seeking to ban our electronic cigarettes. These Nanny State Nazis are obviously not concerned about our health, only their own self aggrandizement, influence and wealth. Considering themselves to be morally superior to a bunch of filthy drug addicts; they want to see us punished. Especially since we seem to have discovered a solution that did not require their involvement nor their Most Holy Consent. Should they succeed in implementing an e-cig ban, the penalty for our "crimes" will be Death. The dirty little secret is they need us to continue to smoke tobacco to help them meet their payrolls. That is why they will not ban tobacco itself. That would be killing the Golden Goose. They have a vested interest in keeping a sustainable number of us enslaved to “the Devil's Weed.” A few, the lucky ones for whom the ”approved” methods have worked, will survive. But the remaining MILLIONS of us repeat offenders will be doomed. And the Final Indignity: We will be the ones having to pay for it, one pack at a time. “Mass murder for hire” doesn't even begin to describe it.

Friends, the proper word for this pre-meditated atrocity is "Holocaust."
I agree, they won't know until they try e-cigs. These are not 100% safe but compared to regular cigarettes, they have less risk so they cannot really stop the public to switch.
