Which is the Best Xros Vape to Buy in 2025?
For years, the Xros series has been one of the UK’s most popular vape kit ranges. That’s for good reason: they’re easy to use, reliable, and deliver solid, consistent performance.
With three releases in recent months, you might be wondering which is the best option for you. As always, it depends on what you value most, whether that is appearance, battery size, ease of use, or something else entirely.
To help you decide, we’ve been testing them side by side. Here’s what we found…
Contents
Stand out favourite: Xros Pro 2
Pros ✔️ Best screen we’ve seen yet ✔️ Long lasting battery ✔️ Lightning fast recharging ✔️ Superb flavour with Corex 3.0 pods ✔️ Flavour stays consistent even with low battery |
Cons Most expensive |
The Xros Pro 2 sits at the top of the range. It’s the only device with a 2000mAh battery - around 500mAh more than the Xros 5 and 5 Mini. Not only does that give it seriously good battery life (comfortably lasting a day of heavy use), it also recharges at lightning speed.
Flavour is consistently good across the series thanks to Corex 3.0 pods. Combined with Super Pulse mode, vapour stayed smooth and rich throughout long sessions, even as the battery drained.
The magnesium alloy body gives it a tough yet light feel at just 65g, while the illuminated screen, invisible until lit, is seriously impressive.
All in all, the Xros Pro 2 quickly won over the team. As Ben put it:
It’s an immediate favourite that, in my opinion, stands head and shoulders above other devices in its class, and deserves to be a future classic.

Excellent All-Rounder: Xros 5
Pros ✔️ Customisable colour screen ✔️ Balance of size and performance ✔️ Solid battery life ✔️ Great flavour with Corex pods |
Cons Airflow could be slightly more open |
The Xros 5 is the balanced middle ground. In our hands-on testing it felt smooth, well-weighted and solid, with a customisable colour screen that, while not as impressive as the Xros Pro 2, is still pretty neat.
Like the rest of the series it works with Corex pods, and with the new Corex 3.0 pods we found flavour was rich and smooth. Although the battery is 500mAh less than the Xros Pro 2, it still provided our tester with a day or more of steady use.
Our testers had little negative feedback to offer, although Lloyd did feel that it could with a touch more airflow - but only a touch.
For vapers who want reliable performance without stepping up to the larger Xros Pro 2, the Xros 5 is a strong all-round choice.

Most Compact: Xros 5 Mini
Pros ✔️ Superb battery life for size ✔️ Super-portable ✔️ Good vapour production ✔️ Great flavour with Corex 3.0 pods |
Cons No screen |
If portability matters most, the Xros 5 Mini is the clear choice. In testing, it slipped easily into a pocket yet still delivered a 1500mAh battery. That’s the same capacity as the Xros 5, a clear improvement over earlier Minis and enough to deliver a day more of steady use.
Using the same Corex pods as the other models, flavour is consistent across the board. For such a small device, vapour production was impressive.
The trade-offs are minor: the airflow placement can sometimes be blocked by your thumb, and there’s no screen, only a 4 level LED indicator.
All in all, if you want a compact, no-fuss kit with dependable performance, the Xros 5 Mini is the pick.

TLDR:
Here’s how the Xros devices stack up in 2025:
Device | Standout Feature | Best For |
Xros Pro 2 | Super Pulse mode, illuminated screen | Best performance & flavour |
Xros 5 | Balanced design & reliability | Everyday use |
Xros 5 Mini | Pocket-friendly portability | On-the-go use |
How we test these kits
At E-Cigarette Direct, our kits are tested by expert vapers, each with years of experience. Every device is used for at least a week, and the team records comments and feedback against a common set of criteria, letting us compare like for like. We balance those findings with sales data, customer reviews and what’s generating buzz in the wider vaping community.
This round of testing included feedback from long time testers Emily, Ben, and Lloyd.
