Smok RPM2 product overview

The Smok RPM 2 kit is a compact device which is under 11 cm in length, meaning it fits easily into the palm of your hand or a pocket. A large power button and simple up-down wattage controls make it easy to control the device, while powerful magnets ensure that the pod remains firmly in place even when the device is shaken - and also ensure that replacing the pod is quick and simple.

The pods feature an ergonomic design, which is designed to feel comfortable when vaping, while the large aperture allows for increased airflow. A transparent window in the pod allows you to see e-liquid levels, which helps ensure you can keep e-liquid levels topped up and avoid damaging the coil. A large 1.14 inch colour screen makes information such as power, voltage and resistance easily available, while an innovative puff monitoring system lets you know how many puffs you can take before needing to recharge.

Who is the Smok RPM 2 for?

The high wattage range and choice of MTL or DL coils means this device is suited to vapers who like the flexibility of choosing between an airy Mouth-to-Lung or Direct-Lung style of vaping, and who prefer a MTL vape with a gentler throat hit. The low resistance coils and high power rating means this device is best used by vapers with experience of high wattage vaping.

Compatible coils

The Smok RPM 2 works with RPM 2 and RPM pods. RPM 2 pods are compatible with RPM 2 mesh coils, and RPM pods are compatible with RPM coils.

What is the puff monitoring system?

The Smok RPM 2 assesses the battery life of the device and then estimates how many puffs it can provide before need recharging. This provides a more accurate estimate of how long you can use the device before needing to recharging it.

Why is the MTL coil just 0.4 ohm?

Traditionally Mouth-to-Lung coils have utilised a greater resistance than DL coils (typically above 1 ohm). This trend has evolved, with some devices using lower resistance coils for a Mouth-to-Lung vape, often with changes in the design to produce a satisfying vape which is still suitable for a tighter and more restricted vape. What e-liquid should I use with this device?

The RPM 2 0.16 ohm is best used with higher VG e-liquids such as those with a VG:PG ratio such as 70:30 or 80:20. The RPM 0.4 ohm coil is best used with e-liquids with a VG:PG ratio between 50:50 and 70:30.

What is pass-through vaping?

Pass-through vaping allows you to use your device while it is charging.

How long do the coils last?

Coil life depends on many factors, including how long you puff for, the e-liquid you use and the wattage you use your coil at. Low resistance coils are used at higher wattages and do not last as long as high resistance coils.

You can extend coil life by priming the coil before usage (see product care), by using e-liquid with the right VG:PG ratios, by not going above the recommended wattage and by topping up your tank so that the coil never dries out. With care, the RPM 2 0.16 ohm coil should last anything from a couple of days to a week, while the RPM 0.4 ohm Mesh Coil should last a little longer.

Can I charge my RPM 2 overnight?
