What is Replay Technology and how does it work?
Replay Technology allows users to capture and repeat their perfect puff—with the same flavour, vapour, and temperature every time.
The core of this feature lies in the DNA chip’s ability to detect stainless steel coil resistance changes up to 30,000 times per second. When a user presses the Replay button after a satisfying puff, the chip records the dynamic resistance profile of the coil during that puff. It then reproduces the same heating behaviour on each subsequent draw, ensuring a consistently identical output.
Unlike traditional wattage or mode controls, which rely on static settings and can fluctuate with battery level or puff duration, Replay dynamically adapts in real time.
Dry hit protection is a big deal - in fact, we mentioned it in last week’s blog post on technologies that could transform vaping. How exactly does the Oxva Xlim Pro 2 DNA detect and prevent dry hits?
The Xlim Pro 2 DNA uses a combination of stainless steel heating elements and the DNA chip’s intelligent temperature control to effectively prevent dry hits.
Stainless steel coils allow the DNA chip to monitor resistance changes in real time. Since resistance varies with temperature, the chip can detect abnormal heat spikes that occur when e-liquid is low or absent. Based on extensive testing, we’ve set a safe temperature threshold within the firmware. If the coil temperature exceeds this limit, indicating a potential dry hit, the device will automatically reduce or cut off power to protect both the user and the pod.
In such cases, the screen will display a “FILL POD” message to remind the user to refill the cartridge. This ensures not only safer vaping, but also helps extend the lifespan of the coil by preventing heat damage.
You mention “ultra-stable flavour output.” What do you mean by this, and how does the device achieve it?
“Ultra-stable flavour output” means the Xlim Pro 2 DNA delivers consistent, full-bodied flavour from the first puff to the last—even when battery levels are low.
This is made possible by the use of stainless steel heating elements in the Xlim cartridges. Compared to standard coil materials, stainless steel requires less voltage to achieve the same output, allowing the DNA chip to maintain stable power delivery more efficiently. As a result, the device can preserve your preferred power settings and flavour quality, even when the battery is running low.
Combined with the DNA chip’s precise power and temperature regulation, this ensures flavour doesn’t fade over time, providing a smooth and reliable experience every time you vape.
