The Xros 6 replaces the Xros 5 as our all-round MTL pick. It keeps the familiar Xros strengths, with very good flavour, easy operation and a draw that is simple to adjust.
For MTL vaping, the draw is the important bit, and the Xros 6 works well here. Flavour from the pods was very good, and the draw felt nice and easy. The airflow adjustment also worked as intended, giving enough control to fine-tune the inhale without making the device feel fiddly.
Battery life was excellent. The 1800mAh battery holds charge extremely well, and even with heavy use on PWR mode it lasted all day and then some. It also charged very quickly, which makes it a strong option if you use your vape heavily.
The three power modes are useful too. You can switch between PWR, NOR and ECO, and I could notice the difference between all three while still getting good performance from each setting. I also liked that the basic menu instructions were printed on the plastic wrap around the device, which made setup easier.
The one feature I was less impressed by was the priming function. I expected a clever sensor that would recognise when the pod was ready to vape, but it is really a timer to make sure you leave enough time for the e-liquid to soak into the coil. It works, but it is not quite as smart as I expected.
Overall, the Xros 6 is a strong all-round MTL pod kit. It gives you very good flavour, an easy adjustable draw, excellent battery life and simple power control, without stepping into complicated settings.

Compact and lightweight, the Elfbar 600 feels similar to the classic disposable model but adds the benefit of a rechargeable battery. I found the flavour impressively strong and consistent from start to finish, lasting as long as the e-liquid itself with no drop-off in taste.
The draw is slightly airy for a restricted MTL vape, but still smooth and satisfying. The pods were a doddle to replace, making it a great option for anyone with dexterity issues or those who prefer a simple, no-fuss device. The GTX One Pro is slimmer and lighter than most mod kits, but still feels premium thanks to a pleasing mix of metal and soft-grip material that gives it a sturdy, comfortable feel.
We found flavour to be good, especially with the higher-resistance GTX coils that suit Mouth-to-Lung vaping. The wide coil range is a real plus, and Smart Mode automatically sets the right wattage, which helps avoid burnt coils. Coils were a little fiddly to remove compared to simply switching pods in other devices, but once fitted they performed well and lasted a long time.
Airflow control proved excellent, with a clear difference between tight and loose settings. Refilling was straightforward too, although filling too quickly could cause liquid to push back through the other hole. I tested the purple marble version, which has a pleasant design and looks better than you might expect at this price. It is still quite plasticky in the hand, but it is also lightweight, compact and easy to carry.
Set-up is simple: fill the pod, remove the sticker from the base, pop it in and inhale. There is no fire button, on/off switch or menu system, so it should suit anyone who wants something straightforward.
The flavour from the included pod is very good, and adjustable airflow is a nice touch on a budget device. Even fully open, though, I found the draw quite tight. That may suit some MTL vapers, but if you prefer a looser inhale, you may find yourself pulling harder than with other kits.
The 1000mAh battery is decent for the price, and the battery light indicator is useful. You do not get an exact percentage display, but that feels fair enough at this level.

Don’t expect a dramatic departure from previous Xros Mini devices with the Xros 6 Mini. It keeps the same small, simple format, but that is a large part of the appeal, especially if you want a compact Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) kit without lots of settings to think about.
That familiar format is backed up by the same solid feel. My blue ombre version had a smart metallic finish, and the device felt sturdy while keeping the compact, pocket-friendly shape that makes the Xros Mini range so useful.
For MTL vaping, the draw is the important bit, and this is where the Xros 6 Mini works well. Flavour from the pods was very good, and the inhale felt smooth and easy. The airflow adjustment also gives you enough control to tighten the draw for a more cigarette-like feel, or loosen it slightly if you prefer an easier inhale.
The 1600mAh battery is impressive for a device this small, and particularly strong for an MTL pod kit. I’m a heavy vaper, and it still lasted me more than a day before needing a charge. Lighter or more moderate users may well get longer, especially in ECO mode.
I was really impressed with how quickly it charged, and the battery bars made it easy enough to see roughly how much power was left, although I personally prefer devices with screens and exact battery percentages.
The one thing I found less intuitive was the ECO and POWER modes. You can toggle between them with two gentle inhales, which is a clever feature for a device with no screen. The problem is knowing which mode you are in. The light patterns are supposed to show the difference, but they are not especially clear at first, so there is a bit of guesswork until you get used to them.

The colour display is clear and intuitive, showing everything I need at a glance. In day-to-day use, I found it practical rather than distracting, which isn’t always the case with colour screens on pod kits.
