Vape Tax Survey prize draw, September 2026

These terms apply to the prize draw run alongside our Vape Tax Survey.

Promoter. E Cigarette Direct Limited (company number 09445273), Unit 4-5 Bell Court, Felinfach, Fforestfach, Swansea SA5 4HP.

The promotion. Complete the Vape Tax Survey and, if you choose to, enter your email address in the optional prize draw field at the end. Entering the draw is free. No purchase is necessary.

Who can enter. Open to UK residents aged 18 or over. Employees of E Cigarette Direct Limited, their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion cannot enter.

Closing date. The draw closes at 23:59 on Tuesday 22 September 2026. Entries received after that time will not be counted.

Entries. One entry per person. Duplicate entries from the same email address will be counted once. Entries without a valid email address, or that are automated or made on behalf of someone else, are invalid.

Prizes. One first prize of a £100 Amazon.co.uk gift card and two runner-up prizes of a £50 Amazon.co.uk gift card each. Three prizes in total. Gift cards are subject to Amazon's own gift card terms. Prizes are not transferable and there is no cash or other alternative, except that the promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize becomes unavailable. Amazon.co.uk is not a sponsor of this promotion.

How winners are chosen. The draw is run by E Cigarette Direct Limited on Wednesday 23 September 2026. All valid entries are numbered in a list and three numbers are selected at random using the independent random number generator at random.org. The first selected wins the £100 gift card, the second and third each win a £50 gift card. The random.org result is saved as a record of the draw and can be verified on request.

Telling the winners. Winners are contacted by email at the address they entered within 7 days of the draw. A winner must reply to claim their prize within 14 days of that email. If they do not, or if the email bounces, the prize is forfeited and a replacement winner is drawn. Prizes are sent by email within 7 days of a winner claiming their prize.

Winners' details. We do not publish winners' names. If the result of the draw is challenged, we may ask the winners for their surname and county so we can show that a valid draw took place, and we may pass those details to the Advertising Standards Authority if it asks for them.

Your data. The survey and draw entries are collected using Tally, a form provider based in Belgium that processes the information on our behalf. The email address you enter is used only to run the draw and contact winners, as set out in our privacy policy. It will not be added to any mailing list unless you separately subscribe. Survey answers are treated as confidential and are reported only in anonymised form. Draw entries are deleted within 90 days of the closing date, except that a record of the winners is kept for 12 months to show the draw was run properly.

Results. Anonymised results of the survey will be published on the Ashtray Blog and in our newsletter. No individual will be identifiable from them.

General. The promoter's decision is final. The promoter may cancel or alter the promotion if events outside its reasonable control make that necessary, and will tell entrants where it can. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
