The 11 Best Vapes for 2025 (UK)
When I started vaping in 2008, there was limited choice when it came to vape kits. Fast forward to today, and the opposite is true, with hundreds of options to choose from.
However, this wide choice can make selecting your perfect vape tricky. After all, what suits one user’s needs may not be suitable for another.
What helps is to narrow down your criteria. Are you looking for a starter kit or a high-powered mod? What’s more important – flavour or clouds? Do you need something light and compact or is battery life more of a priority?
Luckily, our experienced in-house testing team includes a range of different kinds of vapers, allowing us to extensively test a wide selection of devices.
With this in mind, we’ve chosen and reviewed 11 of the best currently available vape kits to help you find the ideal option for you.

Vaporesso Xros 5

Reviewed by: Emily, ECD Team
The Xros series has become the most popular device type in the UK, thanks to excellent flavour, reliability and ease-of-use - all factors retained in the Xros 5.
The biggest change here is the battery life. When we reviewed the Xros 4 we noted the increased performance meant a compromise with battery life - but that’s now been fixed. The 1500mAh battery is 50% larger than the original, but it seems to last more than 50% longer. When my colleague Corey reviewed the Xros 4, it only lasted a few hours, but the Xros 5 was still going strong on the second day of vaping.
Other changes I liked were the bubbled screen and the fact you can change the colours on the screen easily.
Do note I tested it with the Xros Corex 3 pods. Vaporesso have decided these are not quite ready to release. While the existing Corex 2 pods already deliver good flavour, do keep your eyes out for the Corex 3 launch, as the flavour with these was insanely good.
There’s not much I didn’t like about the device, but I would prefer a very slight increase to the airflow. Unlike my colleague Corey, I don’t like the charging port being on the side either, as it makes it more awkward to charge the device.
Pros:
- Increased battery life
- Great flavour
- Easy-to-use
Cons:
- Charging port on side
- Corex 3 pods not yet available

Oxva Xlim Pro 2: Easy to use yet versatile
Reviewed by: Lloyd, ECD Team
The Xlim Pro 2 is a very impressive pod device that provides all the flavour you’d want from a vape kit.
Design-wise, it’s conveniently sized - slim and lightweight with a high-quality metal finish. I even found the included lanyard and charging cable were great quality too!
Using the included 0.6ohm Xlim pod, the flavour produced was great, as I’d expect from the Xlim series (although the rubber bung filling can be a little fiddly).
While easy to use, I like that the device has both adjustable wattage and airflow that allows me to customise my vape.
The 1300mAh battery is larger than you usually get with devices of this size and I was impressed to find 50% battery life remaining after a full day of use (350 puffs) at 22W.
In terms of operating the device, the button click patterns are easy and, if you forget, you can simply hold down the button for instructions. The screen is vibrant with a clean display and I like that you can vape while the device is charging - although I do wish the remaining charging time was displayed on the screen.
Overall, this is a perfect device for those looking for a compact, high-quality pod kit that’s easy to use yet customisable with great flavour and battery life.
Pros:
- Long-lasting battery
- Easy to use
- Great flavour
- Vibrant display
Cons:
- Rubber bung filling can be fiddly
- Remaining charging time not displayed

Vaporesso Xros 5 Mini

Reviewed by: Lloyd, ECD Team
The Xros 5 Mini is similar to the original Xros 4 Mini, but with a lot more battery life!
As with the original device, it’s beginner friendly - with fixed-coil pods, automatic power settings and inhale firing. This easy-to-use design makes this kit ideal for new vapers or disposable users looking for a no-fuss rechargeable device.
The two biggest changes are the 50% increase in battery life - and 1500mAh in such a compact device is seriously impressive. The 80% charge in just 20 minutes is a nice feature too.
The charging port and the airflow have been moved to the side of the device. I know a lot of people asked for this, but I wasn’t too keen on this, as it’s easy to accidentally block it with your finger when vaping.
Like Emily, I tested it with the Corex 3 pods and found the flavour to be impressive, so watch out for the release of these. While you wait, you can still get great flavour with the existing Corex 2 pods.
Pros:
- Increased battery life
- Solid, seamless build
- Easy-to-use
Cons:
- Airflow on side
- Corex 3 pods not yet available

IVG 2400: Multi-pod, big puff design

Reviewed by: Alison, ECD team
IVG’s 2400 has everything you would want from a big puff vape device - long-lasting battery life, easy operation and great flavour.
Testing the device over a few days, I found the battery life particularly impressive - with the 1100mAh battery lasting a full day of moderate use straight out of the box. When the battery did run low, after just a 15-minute charge it lasted me a further 2 days (at time of writing). I also found the colour-coded battery indicator handy to let me know when to recharge.
I chose the Pink Edition kit of tropical fruit and citrus flavours and, while 20mg nicotine is a little strong for me, all of the pods produced very nice, strong flavours that would be ideal for disposable users. The Fizzy Cherry pod was especially tasty!
Tip: While all of the kits are mixed flavours, you can purchase separate pods and stick to a single favourite if you prefer.
One downside of this device was not being able to see how much e-liquid was left in each pod, and a transparent design would have been more convenient.
While I usually stick to refillable vape kits, the 2400’s long-lasting battery life and convenient design means I’d find it useful if I was going away or on holiday and didn’t want to carry my larger device and extra e-liquids.
Overall, this is a great kit if you’re looking for a convenient device with strong flavours, and I’d particularly recommend it to disposable vapers looking for a non-disposable kit.
If you’d prefer a more compact device, it’s also worth considering the dual-pod IVG Air 2-in-1 version.
Pros:
- Long-lasting battery
- Large e-liquid capacity
- Strong flavour
Cons:
- Pods are not transparent

Oxva VPrime: Superb flavour, all-day battery life
Reviewed by: Emily, ECD Team
The Oxva VPrime pod mod is a fantastic little device that produces perfect flavour!
Using the included 0.6ohm pod with my Elfliq Peach Ice nic salts, the flavour was fantastic and the pod lasted me a full 5 days before needing to be replaced.
The pod fits perfectly into the device with strong magnets making it feel sturdy and secure. However, I wasn’t keen on the side-filling port as this could easily cause leaking if the bung isn’t securely replaced.
I love the rounded/curved design of the device as I found it very comfortable to hold and the display screen is nice and clear.
The 2600mAh battery lasted me a full day of use which was impressive and the device charges like a dream - with a full battery within an hour.
You can easily lock the device using the up/down buttons, however, this only locks the fire button and not the device wattage. This would have been handy as the adjustment buttons are at the side of the device and I did find myself accidentally knocking them and unintentionally changing the wattage.
Overall, apart from some very small drawbacks, this is a great pod mod for those looking for long-lasting battery life and fantastic flavour.
Pros:
- Great flavour
- Comfortable curved design
- Long-lasting battery
Cons:
- Side-filling design
- Locking system doesn’t lock wattage

Geekvape Aegis Boost 3: Versatile & durable pod mod
Reviewed by: Lloyd, ECD Team
The Aegis Boost 3 pod mod is an impressive all-in-one kit with enough customisable settings and coil options to suit any kind of vaper.
As with most Geekvape products, it has a solid water, dust and shockproof build with a metal body and a comfy rubber grip at the back.
The touch-activated lock feature is interesting, allowing you to unlock the device just by touching the back grip. This could be improved, though, as I found my device unlocking through the material of my pocket. Luckily, traditional locking is also available in the settings.
Using the device with the included 0.2ohm coil and a 70:30 shortfill the device performed very well - with good flavour and a very airy adjustable airflow.
However, the black plastic pod design meant I couldn’t see my e-liquid levels and I feel a transparent pod would be a big improvement.
The large front-facing LED screen displays all relevant device information in an easy-to-understand format and I like that you can customise the screen colour settings.
With 6 modes to choose from including beginner-friendly Smart mode and battery-saving ECO mode, the Aegis Boost 3 can work for you no matter how you like to vape. Add to this the range of coils allowing you to use both 50:50 and high-VG e-liquids, this is a device that will last for a long time to come.
Pros:
- Durable IP68 design
- Choice of modes for all experience levels
- Range of coils for multiple vape styles & e-liquids
- Great flavour & airflow
Cons:
- Touch activation can be too sensitive
- Black plastic pod means you can’t see e-liquid levels

SKE Crystal CL6000: Beginner-friendly, disposable-style flavour
Reviewed by: Corey, ECD Team
The SKE Crystal CL6000 would make a perfect option for new vapers or those looking for an easy-to-use, cost-effective alternative to disposable devices.
While I initially found setting up the kit a little confusing, once I’d consulted the instructions it wasn’t too difficult and using the device is very easy. Being plastic, the build quality isn’t fantastic but was as I’d expected for a kit of this price.
The best thing about the CL6000 kit is the flavour. Using the Sour Pineapple pod, the taste was excellent and even better than you’d get from a disposable device. While I found the airflow a little restricted for my preference, It would be perfect for disposable users, especially fans of SKE Crystal Bar.
The 800mAh battery lasted me most of the day before needing to be recharged, yet I did think that if this was increased to 1000mAh it could comfortably last over 24 hours of use.
Overall, at less than £20 for a full kit and pack of replacement pods, this is a great option for those looking for a cost-effective, reusable disposable alternative and a perfect starter kit. However, I’d suggest users eventually move on to a refillable device for maximum cost savings.
Pros:
- Great flavour
- Easy to use & convenient
- Rechargeable battery
- Cost-saving disposable alternative
Cons:
- Not as cost-effective as refillable devices

Innokin Endura T22 Pro: Easy-to-use mod kit, great battery life
Reviewed by: Corey, ECD Team
With its easy-to-use design, restricted inhale and strong throat hit, the Endura T22 Pro makes it a great option for smokers looking for a no-fuss introduction to mod vaping.
I found both the mod and tank to have great build quality and the 4-level power output (9.5 - 13.5W) offers customisation over your vape. The battery life is also excellent, with the 3000mAh battery comfortably lasting me 2 days of use.
The included Prism T18E tank provides a tight, restricted draw with a strong throat hit. This, combined with the feel of the mouthpiece, provides a vape very similar to cigarette smoking. However, the tank doesn’t have adjustable airflow control so wouldn’t be suitable if you prefer a more airy vape.
While the Endura T22 Pro isn’t the most advanced or powerful mod kit out there, overall, it makes a perfect choice for first-time vapers switching from smoking.
Pros:
- Long-lasting 3000mAh battery
- Customisable 4-level power output
- Tight draw & strong throat hit perfect for former smokers
- Easy sliding top-fill design
Cons:
- Fixed airflow not suitable if you prefer an airier vape

Elfbar 600: Disposable flavour in a reusable device
Reviewed by: Lloyd, ECD Team
If you used Elfbar 600 disposables when they were available, the ElfBar 600 reusable kit has all the convenience and flavour you’ll remember - but in a replaceable, prefilled pod format.
The device is easy to use, and similar to disposables, with the main difference being that you can replace the pod when it’s empty. The battery can also be recharged, and the clear RGB indicator light at the bottom lets you know when the battery is running low.
The inhale firing activation is ultra-convenient and I found it very responsive and easy to inhale.
Testing the device using the Blue Sour Raspberry pod, I found the flavour was great and the set airflow produced a surprising amount of vapour for such a compact device.
Using the device straight from the box, I found I had to recharge it before the end of the day (probably due to the battery not being fully charged at first). However, when I’d fully recharged the battery it comfortably lasted a full day.
There are over 22 Elfbar 600 pod flavours to choose from and, as an added bonus, the device is also compatible with Elfa and Lost Mary Tappo pods - offering even more options.
Pros:
- Great alternative to disposables
- Strong flavours
- Easy to use
Cons:
- Not as cost-effective as refillable devices

Lost Mary BM6000

Reviewed by: Corey, ECD Team
The BM6000 kit has everything I’d expect from a Lost Mary device - impressive build quality, a smooth MTL vape and strong flavour.
The ‘big puff’ design with 12ml e-liquid capacity (2ml pod and 10ml refill container) and rechargeable 650mAh battery offers extra longevity compared to standard prefilled devices.
Design-wise, the device has impressive build quality for a disposable - and the clear refill container is a plus as it means I can easily check the remaining e-liquid level.
Trying the Strawberry Raspberry Cherry Ice option, the more restricted draw isn’t to my personal preference but it did provide the strong flavour I’d expect from Lost Mary without being overly sweet. This balance means I could easily vape this flavour all day! While the flavour and strength were perfect for me, as the range is currently only available in 20mg/ml, it may be a little strong for those used to lower-strength vapes.
The 750mAh battery initially lasted me most of the day - which is what I’d expect for a prefilled kit - although it can’t match the IVG 2400’s 1750mAh battery! However, the rechargeable design means you can recharge and keep using the device until all of the e-liquid is used up.
Overall, this is a great option if you’re looking for a no-fuss, long-lasting prefilled pod kit with strong flavour. With its range of ease of use, big puff design and range of flavour options, it’s a perfect option for new vapers or fans of Lost Mary looking for a longer-lasting alternative to the BM600 device.
Pros:
- Strong, smooth flavour
- Longer-lasting than standard disposables
- Impressive build quality for a disposable
Cons:
- Only available in 20mg strength
- Can’t be refilled

Uwell Caliburn G4: Customisable pod kit with strong flavour

Reviewed by: Will, ECD Team
The Uwell Caliburn G4 is one of the more customisable pod kits I’ve used - which is impressive as it is also straightforward and easy-to-use. The colourful screen comes with changeable themes, and a handy night mode. It’s also one of the few pod devices that stands upright easily, though I noticed that despite the premium feel the printed branding can wear off over time.
Using the 0.4ohm pod at 35W in Storm mode, I found the flavour and vapour production impressively strong - perfect if you like a punchy hit. The coil also lasted longer than I expected for a high-wattage setup. Vapers who prefer a gentler, steady hit can use the Waves mode.
The duck-billed pod design is comfortable, and the adjustable airflow lets you tailor your draw, though there was some minor leakage over time. Battery life is solid, with quick charging via the side port making it easy to top up.
Overall, the G4 is a great option if you want a compact, flavourful pod kit with a bit more control than usual.
Pros:
- Strong flavour and vapour
- Clear, colourful screen with themes
- Quick charging
- Adjustable airflow
Cons:
- Branding can wear off over time
- Minor leakage from the pod

How we selected these vapes
It’s always tempting when writing a post like this to fill it with the latest, shiny devices.
But that would be a mistake. Despite advances in technology, there are older vape kits that have withstood the test of time – and they’ve done so for a good reason.
Instead, to select the kits here we’ve used a combination of our own ratings, the popularity of these devices, both in terms of sales and ‘on the scene’, as well as taking into account customer feedback. Very occasionally we’ll add a just launched kit to the list – but only if it totally blows us away in testing.
All the kits here are made to UK standards and are compliant with EU and UK regulations.
