What’s the difference between the Nord coils?

Which coil does the Smok Nord 5 take?

The Smok Nord 5 takes RPM 3 coils, available in 0.15ohm and 0.23ohm mesh.

Use the 0.15ohm coil at 40W to 80W with high-VG e-liquid for direct-lung (DL) vaping. Use the 0.23ohm coil at 20W to 25W for a more restricted draw. RPM 3 coils also fit the Smok Nord GT, the Smok RPM 5 and the Smok RPM 5 Pro.

Which coil does the Smok Nord 4 take?

The Smok Nord 4 takes both RPM and RPM 2 coils.

RPM coils come in 0.4ohm mesh, 0.6ohm triple, 0.8ohm DC MTL and 1.2ohm quartz. RPM 2 coils come in 0.16ohm mesh, 0.3ohm mesh and 0.6ohm DC MTL. Choose an RPM 2 mesh coil if you want more vapour, or an RPM 0.8ohm or 1.2ohm coil for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping.

Which coil does the Smok Nord 6 take?

The Smok Nord 6 takes RPM 4 coils when used with the Nord 6 top-fill pod. RPM 4 coils do not fit the LP2 pods.

RPM 4 coils come in 0.15ohm and 0.6ohm mesh. Use the 0.15ohm coil between 40W and 80W with high-VG e-liquid for direct-lung (DL) vaping, and the 0.6ohm coil with 50:50 e-liquid for a more restricted draw.

How long do Smok Nord coils last?

Several days to around two weeks is typical.

Coil life depends on wattage, e-liquid and how much you vape. Low-resistance coils used at high wattages need changing most often. You can extend coil life by priming a new coil before use, keeping the pod topped up so the coil never runs dry, and staying inside the recommended wattage range.
