The Vaporesso GTX GO 40 is an easy to use pod device designed for simplicity with a single button operation.
The device outputs 40W and is powered by a built-in 1500mAh battery. When the battery does run flat, the USB-C charging design means the battery will be quickly recharged and ready to use again.
The included GTX POD 22 is compatible with GTX coils and can support different kinds of e-liquids and both MTL and DL vaping styles, depending on the coil used. (See more about these styles in the FAQs below).
The device’s rotating airflow wheel also means you can tailor your air intake. Adjusting the airflow will create an airier or more restricted vape and more or less intense flavour.
GTX POD 22 pods are designed with a strong magnetic base that both keeps it sturdily attached to the device but also makes it quick and easy to remove for coil changes. The pod also features a convenient top-fill port that makes topping up your e-liquid effortless.
The inclusion of SSS leak-resistant technology makes the pod completely leakproof - meaning you don’t need to worry about any e-liquid spilling or being wasted.
If you would prefer a version of this device with larger battery capacity and power output, see the Vaporesso GTX GO 80.
Compatible Coils & E-liquids
The GTX GO 40 can be used with both VG:PG 50:50 and high VG e-liquids.
- 50:50 e-liquids: Use 0.6Ω (included), 0.8Ω or 1.2Ω GTX coils
- High VG e-liquids: Use 0.6Ω (included) or 0.3Ω GTX coil
* Please note: 0.2Ω GTX coil will not work with this device.
- 0.6Ω GTX Mesh: 20 - 30 watts
Who is the Vaporesso GTX GO 40 for?
The GTX GO 40 makes a great starter kit but is suitable for vapers of all experience levels. Its easy to use features and minimalist design make it great for new vapers, while the choice of vaping styles, coil compatibility and adjustable airflow mean it will also suit more experienced vapers looking for a versatile pod device.
What e-liquid can you use in the Vaporesso GTX GO 40?
When used with the included 0.6Ω GTX mesh coil, the GTX GO 40 can be used with VG:PG 50:50 e-liquids and nicotine salts as well as high VG e-liquids with a VG:PG ratio of around 60:40
What does SSS technology mean?
SSS stands for: Seal comprehensively, saturate properly, store safely and is a leakproof technology used to prevent e-liquid escaping from the pod to prevent wastage or mess.
How long does the Vaporesso GTX GO 40 device take to charge?
Your GTX GO 40 should reach full charge in 90 minutes.
What is the difference between Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) and Direct-Lung (DL) vaping?
In Mouth-to-Lung vaping you inhale vapour and hold it in your mouth for a moment before inhaling again for the vapour to reach your lungs. In Direct-Lung vaping you inhale in one continuous breath into your lungs. See MTL v DL for more information.
Can you wash the GTX POD 22?
Yes. Remove the pod from the device, and empty out any e-liquid. Wash the pod out with warm (not boiling) water. Ensure that the pod is fully dry before using it again.
You can also clean the connections out with cotton to remove dust.
How long does the coil last?
Coil life depends on many factors, including how long you puff for, the e-liquid you use and the wattage you use your coil at. Low resistance coils, which are used at higher wattages, will not last as long as high resistance coils.
You can extend coil life by:
- Priming the coil before usage
- Using e-liquid with the right VG:PG ratios
- Not going above the recommended wattage
- Topping up your tank so that the coil never dries out
With care, the included 0.6Ω coil should last several days before needing to be replaced.

Using Your Tank: Best Practice
Follow these simple steps to get the most out of your tank.
- When filling, always avoid getting e-liquid in the centre tube.
- Don’t hold down the button before inhaling.
- When attaching the coil, screw it in firmly but don’t over-tighten.
- Make sure you use the right power settings. If unsure, check the manual or start with a low power setting and work your way up till you get the right hit.
The Right and Wrong Ways to Treat Batteries!
Battery Safety Information
- Ensure you use the correct charging equipment for your e-cig (see below).
- Charge batteries on a hard surface.
- Turn your battery off when not in use.
- Use damaged batteries.
- Leave charging batteries unattended.
- Allow contact between your batteries and water.
- Carry in a pocket with coins or keys. (The Kbag is a great way to carry batteries securely and safely).
- Expose your battery to sunlight, extreme heat or cold.
For more information see our E-Cig Battery Safety Infographic.
Recommended Charging Equipment
We recommend the Veho Plug Adaptor and the Nitecore Intelli charger (for external batteries). Both are high quality devices from a reputable manufacturer, have performed well in testing and have the right voltage output for e-cigs.
Extending Your E-Cig Battery Life
With regular usage, your e-cig battery will usually last for 3 months, although they can last longer. The following steps can help extend the life of your battery
1. Cleaning your battery terminal. The most effective way to do this is to use a cotton swab soaked in alcohol, but you can also clean it with a tissue or a cotton swab.
2. Keeping your battery charged. Keeping some charge in your battery can extend your battery life, especially if you go for some time without using it.
How To Maximise the Life Of Your Coils
Always allow your e-liquid to soak into your coil for at least five minutes before using it. This will help prevent your coil from burning out.
When you have a more powerful coil, or one with more wicking material, it’s also a good idea to prime it by applying a few drops of e-liquid into the coil holes before filling.
Once you’re using the device, it is important to keep your tank topped up. If the e-liquid gets too low and the coil is exposed, the coil can burn out.
