Smok Coils

Smok offers a huge variety of vape coils, offering everything from a restricted vape to massive cloud potential. Includes Smok Novo, Smok RPM and Smok Nord coils. Scroll down to see a handy guide to help you select the right Smok coil for your needs.

Which Smok coil do you need?

When you purchase a coil, you need to ensure that you buy the right coil for your device and the right resistance for your needs.

Matching coils to devices

The table below matches popular Smok devices, tanks and pods to the coil needed. Further information can be found on device and coil pages.

DeviceCoil
Smok Nord 4RPM & RPM2
Smok Nord 2Nord & RPM
Smok IPX80RPM2 (or RPM coils when using the RPM pod)
Smok Priv N19Nord
Smok RPM4LP2 & RPM
Smok Nfix ProLP1

Coil resistance

Each vape coil comes with a different resistance rating - which is measured in ohms.

In general, the lower the resistance of the coil the more power it will need. The suggested wattage needed is usually labelled on the coil.

Lower-resistance coils, if used at the right wattage, produce more vapour than high-resistance coils, while high-resistance coils will last longer before needing replacing.

Priming your coil

You can improve the life of your coil by priming your coil before use. For pod devices, after adding e-liquid for the first time allow it five minutes to soak into the coil before use. With large coils designed for more powerful devices, we recommend adding a drop of e-liquid into coil ports, and allowing the e-liquid to soak in for up to ten minutes.

FAQs

How long do Smok coils last?

The life of your coil depends on many factors, including the resistance of your coil, the wattage you use and how many puffs you take. In general, higher-resistance coils (such as those with a resistance of 1 ohm or more) can last two weeks or longer, while low-resistance coils used at a high wattage may only last 2-3 days.

When should you change your Smok coil?

You should change your coil when the flavour starts to deteriorate, there is less vapour or if the vape starts to feel scratchy.
