An upgraded version of the original Aegis Pod, the Geekvape AP2 is tough enough to withstand the elements while being compact enough to fit in your pocket. An IP67 rating means the AP2 is waterproof, shockproof and dustproof. This, combined with an upgraded metallic shell, makes it a great device for using outdoors. As easy to use as it is tough, the single button device has an adjustable 3-level output that allows you to choose your power level and an upgraded 900mAh battery for longer-lasting power. To help protect both your coil and battery from accidental firing, the AP2 also features a handy safety lock mode that locks the device when not in use.

Compatible with the Geekvape G Series coil range, the AP2 can support both Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) and Restricted Direct Lung (RDL) vaping styles. You can easily switch between these vaping styles with a simple twist of the pod as different sized airflow holes create an airy vape with more vapour or a restricted vape similar to smoking. How do I change the power level of my Geekvape AP2?

To change the power level, press the power button 3 times.

How do I enable safety lock mode on my Geekvape AP2?

To switch to safety lock mode, press the power button 5 times.

Is the Geekvape AP2 a Mouth-to-Lung device?

Yes. The higher resistance coils in the AP2 make it perfect for Mouth-to-Lung vaping. See MTL v DL for more information.

Can I charge my Geekvape AP2 overnight?

Lithium batteries should not be left unattended when charging. It is also important to use an appropriate charger, such as the Veho Plug Adaptor. For more information see our battery safety infographic.

What Does IP67 Mean?

The AP2 has an IP rating of IP67 - meaning it is dustproof and can withstand water immersion of up to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes.

A device’s IP (Ingress Protection) rating refers to how dustproof and waterproof it is - expressed as a 2 digit code:

• Dustproof rating (1st digit): is expressed between 1 and 6 - with 1 meaning the device offers no special protection from dust and 6 meaning it is dustproof.
• Waterproof rating (2nd digit): is expressed between 1 and 8 - with 1 meaning there is no special protection from water and 8 meaning the device can withstand complete, continuous water submersion.

Can you wash a Geekvape AP2 pod?

Yes. Remove the pod from the device, remove the coil and empty out any e-liquid. Wash the pod out with warm (not boiling) water and ensure that it is fully dry before using it again. You can also clean the connections out with cotton to remove dust.

What is the difference between Mouth-to-Lung (MTL), Direct-Lung (DL) and restricted Direct-Lung (RDL) vaping?

In Mouth-to-Lung vaping you inhale vapour and hold it in your mouth for a moment before inhaling again for the vapour to reach your lungs. In Direct-Lung (DL) vaping you inhale in one continuous breath into your lungs.

With restricted Direct-Lung vaping, you inhale in the same way as DL, but you don’t require as much airflow over the coil. The flavour experience is similar to DL, but the throat hit is more similar to MTL. See MTL v DL for more information.

How long does the coil last?

Coil life depends on many factors, including how long you puff for, the e-liquid you use and the wattage you use your coil at. Low resistance coils, which are used at higher wattages, will not last as long as high resistance coils.

You can extend coil life by:

• Priming the coil before usage
• Using e-liquid with the right VG:PG ratios
• Not going above the recommended wattage
• Topping up your tank so that the coil never dries out

With care, the included coils should last several days before needing to be replaced.

Using Your Tank: Best Practice

Follow these simple steps to get the most out of your tank.

• When filling, always avoid getting e-liquid in the centre tube.
• Don’t hold down the button before inhaling.
• When attaching the coil, screw it in firmly but don’t over-tighten.
• Make sure you use the right power settings. If unsure, check the manual or start with a low power setting and work your way up till you get the right hit.

The Right and Wrong Ways to Treat Batteries!

Battery Safety Information

Do:

• Ensure you use the correct charging equipment for your e-cig (see below).
• Charge batteries on a hard surface.
• Turn your battery off when not in use.

Don’t:

• Use damaged batteries.
• Leave charging batteries unattended.
• Allow contact between your batteries and water.
• Carry in a pocket with coins or keys. (The Kbag is a great way to carry batteries securely and safely).
• Expose your battery to sunlight, extreme heat or cold.

Recommended Charging Equipment

We recommend the Veho Plug Adaptor and the Nitecore Intelli charger (for external batteries). Both are high quality devices from a reputable manufacturer, have performed well in testing and have the right voltage output for e-cigs.

Extending Your E-Cig Battery Life

With regular usage, your e-cig battery will usually last for 3 months, although they can last longer. The following steps can help extend the life of your battery

1. Cleaning your battery terminal. The most effective way to do this is to use a cotton swab soaked in alcohol, but you can also clean it with a tissue or a cotton swab.
2. Keeping your battery charged. Keeping some charge in your battery can extend your battery life, especially if you go for some time without using it.

How To Maximise the Life Of Your Coils

Always allow your e-liquid to soak into your coil for at least five minutes before using it. This will help prevent your coil from burning out.

When you have a more powerful coil, or one with more wicking material, it’s also a good idea to prime it by applying a few drops of e-liquid into the coil holes before filling.

Once you’re using the device, it is important to keep your tank topped up. If the e-liquid gets too low and the coil is exposed, the coil can burn out.
