Innokin Z coils (also known as Zenith coils) come with a range of designs, resistances and materials designed to suit different styles of vaping.
Innokin Z (Zenith) Coils: The original Innokin Zenith coils come with two options. The 1.6ohm coil is best for a warmer vape with a tighter draw, similar to that of a cigarette. The 0.8ohm coil has a cooler vape, a lighter draw and more vapour and is suitable for restricted direct-lung inhaling.
Innokin Plexus Z (Zenith) Coils: These 0.5ohm coils use plexus mesh, which is a thinner material and offers a larger surface area. This speeds up wicking, avoids hot spots and leads to improved vapour and a longer-lasting coil.
Innokin Z (Zenith) 3d Mesh Coils: Also known as Zlide coils, these 0.48ohm coils build on the original Plexus mesh coils for extended coil life and improved taste and vapour production.
Innokin Z Pro Coils: The latest in the series of Z coils, this 1.0ohm coil was brought out along with the Innokin Zenith Pro tank. Able to handle higher wattages and coming with increased airflow, this tank offers a restricted direct-lung vape.
Innokin Z coils work with the following:
What's the difference between mouth-to-lung (MTL) and direct-to-lung (DL) vaping?
In MTL vaping, vapour is drawn into the mouth and held for a moment before being inhaled into the lungs. This is closer to the experience of a cigarette. In direct-lung vaping the vapour is inhaled to the lung in one continuous inhale. See MTL v. DL for a full tutorial.
What's the difference between Zenith and Z coils?
Z coils were originally called Zenith coils, but have since been rebranded as Z Coils.
What e-liquids can you use with Z Coils?
The Plexus, 3d Mesh coils, or higher resistance Z Coils (above 0.8 ohm) are ideal for use with e-liquids with a VG:PG range of around 50:50 and for use with nicotine salts. The 0.3ohm or Innokin Z Pro 1.0ohm coils can be used e-liquids with a higher VG:PG range, such as 70:30 or 80:20.
How long do Z-Coils last?
Coil life depends on many factors, including how long you puff for and the wattage you use your coil at. You can extend coil life by priming the coil before usage (see product care), and by topping up your tank so that the coil never dries out. With care, most coils will last anything from a few days to several weeks.
