VooPoo Drag Series

VooPoo has been dominating the pod mod market for the last few years and much of this is down to their Drag Series.

The Drag Series is a range of stylish, leather-finished pod mods that, in just a few short years, have constantly evolved bringing new and exciting features and improved performance with each model.

VooPoo Drag Series devices compared

Drag X & Drag S

Options:
Drag X & PnP Pod / Drag X & PnP-X Pod
Drag S & PnP Pod/ Drag S & PnP-X Pod

Output: 5 -60W
Battery: 2500mAh (Drag S) /1 x 18650 (Drag X)
Included pod/ pod tank: PnP Pod
Modes: Smart/RBA

The Drag X and Drag S are very similar, with the main difference being the battery design. Both feature a cylindrical alloy and leather design, 5 - 60W variable wattage, both auto and manual draw options as well as innovative infinite adjustable airflow and a handy Smart Mode that automatically detects the coil used and sets the wattage for you.

The Drag S features an internal 2500mAh battery, while the Drag S uses an external 18650 battery (not included in the kit) so is a slightly taller device.

Drag 3

Output: 5 -177W
Battery: 2 x 18650 batteries
Included pod/pod tank: TPP Pod Tank
Modes: Smart/RBA/Temperature Control

Retaining the 177W output and box mod shape of previous devices, this device is one of the more advanced in the Drag Series.

The VooPoo Drag 3 mod has an internal Gene.FAN 2.0 chip that provides it with a choice of three modes. You can choose from easy-to-use intuitive Smart Mode, RBA Mode which gives more control over power output or the advanced Temperature Control mode which adjusts wattage depending on any changes in coil resistance.

Drag S Pro

Output: 80W
Battery: 3000mAh (Drag S Pro) / 1 x 18650
Included pod/ pod tank: TPP X Pod
Modes: Smart/RBA/Temperature Control

Released in 2021, the Drag S Pro brings a host of new features. It features 80W of power and uses an internal 3000mAh..

Both devices feature the stylish cylindrical leather and metal design of earlier Drag devices and feature Smart, RBA and Temperature Control modes.

New and improved features include a new toggle switch that allows you to switch its functions between on/off and lock/unlock, auto inhale option and the new and improved TPP X Pod with convenient top filling and 360° infinite airflow.

Drag Nano 2

Output: 8 - 20W
Battery: 800mAh
Included Pods: Drag Nano 2
Modes: Variable Wattage (3 power levels)

While the Drag Series has become well known for its pod mod devices, they tend to appeal to those with some experience. However, VooPoo has also catered to the less experienced vaper and translated the classic Drag Series style into an easy-to-use pod device that fits in your pocket - the Drag Nano 2.

A great choice for new users (or just those who want a more small and simple device), the Drag Nano 2’s 8 - 20W of power is easily controlled with a 3 level output and uses fixed-coil pods that eliminate the need for manual coil changes.

Drag Nano 2 pods come in a choice of 2 resistances (0,8Ω & 1.2Ω) and the device is also compatible with VooPoo Vinci pods.

While a relatively simple device, the Nano 2 does feature an adjustable airflow toggle that allows you to tailor your air intake for an airier or more restricted vape.

Drag Q

Output: 8 - 25W
Battery: 1250mAh
Included pod: ITO-X
Modes: VW

The Drag Q device retains the Drag Series’ aesthetic with a stylish combination of leather and metal. With single-button operation, the 25W pod device has a more minimal design than other Drag Series pod mods and features an inhale-firing option making it a good choice for newer vapers.

The Drag Q works with ITO coils and supports both Mouth-to-Lung and Restricted Direct-Lung vape styles. For optimum flavour, the device utilises Smart-Air-Power-Adjustment to synchronise the device’s airflow with the power level.

This is also the first Drag Series device to feature automatic locking after 5 minutes of inactivity - protecting both coil and battery life.

Drag E60 & Drag H80S

Output: 5 - 80W (H80S)/ 5 - 60W (E60)
Battery: 1 x 18650 (H80S)/ 2500mAh (E60)
Included pod: PnP 2 pod
Modes: Smart, RBA & Eco

Available in fixed (E60) and replaceable (H80S) battery options, the compact and stylish Drag E60 and H80S pod mods feature a choice of 3 modes. There’s no-fuss, user-friendly Smart Mode, RBA mode, or the newly introduced Eco Mode - which provides increased vaping time when the battery is running low.

Both devices work with PnP coils to produce a Direct-Lung inhale and boast VooPoo’s new and improved ‘dual in one’ coil technology for enhanced flavour and cloud production.

Drag 4

Output: 5 - 177W
Battery: 2 x 18650
Included tank/coils: UFORCE L, PnP coils
Modes: VW/TC/ECO

The Drag 4 mod kit features a new eye-catching look with a choice of resin and wooden finishes. The 177W mod features a choice of VW mode and a newly-updated TC mode, as well as ECO mode for enhanced battery life. With rapid charging and replaceable batteries, the Drag 4 can last up to a day of use between charges.

Featuring the new UFORCE L vape tank, the Drag 4 kit includes new Dual in One PnP coils for enhanced flavour, vapour and coil life. The PnP coil range’s selection of resistances means the tank can support both Mouth-to-Lung and Direct-Lung vaping, while a 3-inlet adjustable airflow control allowing you to precisely tailor your inhale.

Who are VooPoo Drag devices for?

Due to their higher wattage, Drag devices are suited to vapers with at least some experience. However many have an inbuilt Smart Mode. This automatically selects the best wattage for the coil you are using, which means you don’t need to be an expert to enjoy using them.

The Drag Nano 2 device, however, is suited to vapers of all experience levels thanks to its easy to control power output and fixed-coil pods.

Compatible VooPoo pods & coils

Voopoo Drag pod mods work with both the PnP pod and PnP-X pods (which work with PnP coils) and TPP, TPP 2 and TPP X pods (which work with TPP coils).

This choice of pods and resistances mean you can use TPP pods for sub-ohm Direct-Lung vaping or, if you prefer, PnP pods with higher-resistance PnP coils for Mouth-to-Lung.

VooPoo Drag Series FAQs

How do I turn my VooPoo Drag on or off?

For all Drag devices, you can press the button five times in quick succession to turn the device on or off.

The more recent Drag S Pro and X Pro devices also have the option of a toggle switch that you can set to be your on/off button.

Why does my VooPoo Drag taste burnt?

You’ve probably burnt the coil. Do note that low resistance coils, such as TPP coils don’t last as long as higher resistance coils. But if they are burning out fast, make sure you are priming the coil correctly before using.

What is the difference between a 21700 and an 18650 battery?

21700 batteries are larger than 18650 batteries, with a size of 21 x 70mm, as opposed to 18 x 65mm. They also have a larger battery capacity, which means they can go for longer between charges. The exact battery capacity depends on the brand and battery used.

Can I charge my VooPoo Drag device overnight?

Lithium batteries should not be left unattended when charging. It is also important to use an appropriate charger, such as the Veho Plug Adaptor. For more information see our battery safety infographic.

What is Smart Mode?

Smart Mode is an intuitive feature that takes the guesswork out of controlling the power of devices and prevents the coil from burning out prematurely.

Usually, Smart Mode will detect the resistance of the coil being used and either set the device’s output to the recommended wattage, suggest a wattage or restrict the wattage range you can choose accordingly.

What does temperature control mean?

In VW mode, the resistance of the coil can change as the coil heats up. In Temperature Control mode, you set the resistance of your coil. The mod uses the resistance of the coil to detect any change in temperature. The mod will adjust or maintain power to keep consistency in resistance, and therefore temperature. This leads to a more consistent flavour profile and can also extend the life of the coil you are using.
