Vaping is at least 95% safer than smoking cigarettes. That’s the opinion of the UK government after multiple reviews of the evidence - which includes a huge weight of studies carried out in the UK.
It’s also the opinion of dozens of UK scientists and public health experts.
Yet an increasing number of the public distrust vaping - with many thinking it is as bad as or worse than smoking.
As a result, more people will experience an early and painful death.
Enter Vaping Demystified.
This documentary-style film outlines what’s at stake when it comes to the vaping debate. It then goes on to explore the public’s attitude towards vaping, and how confidence in vaping has been destroyed by misinformation and misleading tabloid stories.
The story of how the misinformation was spread is interlaced with short excerpts from scientists and public health experts.
It’s really very good. In fact, it might be the best film on vaping I’ve seen yet.
It keeps your attention, sets out the case for vaping and demolishes the myths around vaping. Crucially, it also talks to people who have switched from smoking to vaping, and discusses the difference it makes to their health.
It’s also a who’s who of vaping in the UK - featuring Clive Bates, Martin Dockrell, Sharon Cox, Louise Ross and many other of the scientists and public health experts who helped drive the UK’s acceptance of vaping.
If there’s one thing I regret about Vaping Demystified, it’s that it is focussed on Yorkshire. This film ought to be seen all over the world. It has the ability to change minds and saves millions of lives.
But that’s enough from me. I urge you to watch the film below and to share it with as many people as you can. You might just change someone’s life.
