Bar Salts are nicotine salt e-liquids that replicate the flavour of disposable vapes. They have a much stronger flavour concentration than standard nic salts and are typically a lot sweeter. As a result, they are also harder on coils than regular e-liquid or nicotine salts - but see our device recommendations below for the best coil/hardware combinations.
Like other nicotine salts, they use the natural form of nicotine found in tobacco leaves - which ensures they give a smooth throat hit.
Top choice: Elf Bar Elfliq
The Elfliq nic salt range means reusable device users needn’t miss out on the fantastic flavour of the world’s most popular disposables.
Representing 12 of the most popular Elf Bar flavours, our testing found the Elfliq flavours to be just as tasty as their disposable counterparts. While these juices don’t cover all 40+ Elf Bar flavours, you’ll find a good selection of fruit, beverage menthol and tobacco options to suit all tastes.
The only (tiny) downside we found was in the packaging – as the plastic wrap around the bottles can be quite fiddly!

Doozy Seriously Bar Salts
An entry from award-winning Yorkshire-based Doozy Vape Co. was long overdue, but when it came it was worth the wait - with the launch of their Seriously Bar Salts range
While Seriously Bar Salts carry the strong flavours users expect, there’s more nuance and depth to the tastes. Many flavours come with a strong fruit or berry element, often cooled with just a touch of menthol. Vapers also have the option of some flavours where the sweetness is muted in comparison to other bar salts flavours, allowing greater appreciation of other flavour notes.

Ohm Brew Double Brew
The ‘double’ in the name of Ohm Brew’s Double Brew range comes from their double-concentrated formula. This provides twice the taste and satisfaction of regular nic salts to recreate the flavour of their popular Brew Bar disposables. This results in probably the strongest flavour of all ranges we’ve tried. In fact, our product tester described them as "crazy good"!
Another big plus of this range is their choice of 3 strength options - with 5mg, 10mg and 20mg versions available.
Available in 8 fruit and beverage flavours, this is a great choice for sweet flavour fans. Although, with no menthol, tobacco or sour options, if you’re not keen on sweet flavours this may not be the range for you.

Riot Bar Edtn
Recreating the flavour of Riot Bar disposables and some of their most popular e-liquid flavours, Riot Squad’s Riot Bar Edtn salts are ideal for those who love fruit flavours with an icy twist.
While the range is exclusively made up of sweet, fruit-based options, on testing we found the flavours to be very strong and disposable-like. The 20mg nicotine strength is satisfying, but won’t be suitable for those who like a lower strength, as this is (currently) the only option available.

Vampire Vape Bar Salts
Geek Bars were one of the first ranges to gain mass popularity when the disposables boom began. Vampire Vape Bar Salts recreate some of their most popular Geek Bar flavours along with some new blends. With a collection of fruit and beverage flavours, you won’t find any tobacco or menthol blends, but if you like a sweet vape they’re a perfect choice.

VLTZ Salts
Totally Wicked’s VLTZ Salts are intentionally intense - designed to provide disposable-style taste in vape juice form. Full of sweet and cool blends, this range is ideal for those who want a fruity and refreshing vape.
VLTZ salts are available in 10mg and 16mg options - but if you want the highest nicotine content possible, you may be disappointed as there’s not yet a 20mg option available.

Bar Juice 5000

A drawback of the other ranges on this list is a smaller flavour selection. In contrast, Bar Juice 5000 salts have the most varied and extensive collection we’ve seen from a bar salts range yet! With 20 fruit, beverage, tobacco and dessert flavours available, they’ve got all bases covered when it comes to flavour.
When we tried them we found them to have a strong disposable-like taste. Our taste tester particularly liked the Fresh Mint flavour - as it has an interesting earthy taste that makes it stand out from other mint blends.

Many bar salts users will be switching from disposables to reusable devices. If that’s you, we recommend choosing a simple-to-use device. Bar salts can be hard on coils too, but they work well with the devices mentioned below.
Disposable cross over
One option is the Aspire R1 device. This is a device that can be recharged and refilled. However, when the coil comes to the end of its life, you dispose of the device and buy another one.
While it’s not the most economical option when it comes to vaping, it involves less cost and environmental waste than regular disposables. It also makes a great cross-over device for users transitioning to refillable devices.
Vape starter kit
Another option is to use a device with replaceable, refillable pods. These are the best options for both reducing cost and for sustainability.
As mentioned, bar salts can be hard on coils. After experimenting with various devices, as well as talking to numerous customers, we have found that Vaporesso Xros devices such as the Xros 3 work well with bar salts when used with a 0.8Ω coil (or 0.6Ω for an airier draw).
