Disposable vapes - and the bar salts that replicate their taste - have taken the UK by storm. But after you have vaped a few, you could be forgiven for thinking they all taste the same.
The flavours are strong, but they are often lacking in depth, and sometimes they are so sweet they can become sickly after you have vaped them for a while.
So when Doozy Vape Co. brought out their own range of flavours, I was keen to try them. Doozy has made a name for themselves with their e-liquids, winning numerous awards, and we wanted to see if they had carried the flavours across into bar salts.
Doozy has performed well here. While retaining the concentrated flavours, Doozy Seriously Bar Salts flavours are distinct and while some are sweet, Doozy also provides some options with more muted sweetness for the discerning vaper. Overall, they are some of the best bar salts we have tested.

Our favourite from the range is a tropical fruit mix.
I found kiwi notes very noticeable on the inhale, followed by sweet guava and a hint of passion fruit on the exhale. Kiwi Passion Guava is one of the sweeter ones in the range, but it's a proper fruity sweetness rather than pure sucralose.
As with all flavours, taste can be subjective, and one colleague found he noticed the guava on the inhale followed by the kiwi and passion fruit! Fortunately, we both found it delicious.

Mr Blue
Mr Blue brings a balanced blend of mixed berries with a tantalising sweet and sour edge. On the inhale, the sweet notes of the berries come through with subtle hints of tartness. As the flavour develops, the sourness of the berries intensifies, providing a unique contrast to the initial sweetness. The exhale is a layered mix of all the berries, with the sour edge taking centre stage.
This one will be a great choice for anyone who likes sweet and sour notes combined with a complex fruit flavour.
Strawberry Kiwi
If you’re looking for a more intense experience, Strawberry Kiwi is the perfect choice. On the inhale, there is a generous helping of juicy strawberry flavour. On the exhale, the tartness of the kiwi becomes prominent, providing a sharp and bold contrast. The vape is sweet (but again, not overpowering), with subtle notes that are unusual in a bar salts juice.
The combination of the two flavours works together to create an exciting and well-balanced vape well suited to fruit lovers.
Watermelon Ice
Sweet, tropical and summery, Watermelon Ice is a deliciously cooling vape.
On the inhale, the flavour brings you lighter notes of watermelon – distinctly sweet, but not overly so. On the exhale, the sweetness comes to the fore along with a refreshing, but not overpowering, coolness, followed by a lingering sweetness on the roof of your mouth. The perfect flavour for a Summer’s day, this is a great choice for those who like a light, refreshing vape.
Triple Mango Ice
Cool and refreshing, Triple Mango Ice by Doozy is another one of our favourites, and we considered it as a candidate for our best overall.
On the inhale, you’ll experience a sweet and juicy mix of mango flavours. On the exhale, the flavour is complemented by a very subtle menthol. The taste of rich mango intensifies throughout the vape, leaving a long, lingering aftertaste. Overall, this vape is perfect for those who love just a hint of menthol for an understated coolness.
Lemon Lime
Doozy Seriously Lemon Lime is a fruit blend which plays between sweet and sharp notes. On the inhale, you are hit with a juicy burst of sweet lime that is quickly balanced out with a sherbet lemon on the exhale. You might also detect some very understated notes of orange.
The combination of tart flavours with sugary notes creates a bold-tasting flavour, making it a great choice for those looking for sweet and sour tones in their vape.
Black Ice
Black Ice is a blackcurrant-flavoured salt that delivers a taste that evolves throughout the vape. The flavour is gentle and muted on the inhale, gathers taste as you hold it in your mouth and then delivers a pure blast of blackcurrant on the exhale with just a touch of coolness. A light blackcurrant lingers after the exhale along with a light sweetness.
Cola Ice
The fizz is strong with Cola Ice! Many cola flavours are more cola sweet than cola drink, but while bringing you elements of sweets, this vape is closer to a true cola.
On the inhale, there’s a light cola taste with which tingles at the tip of your tongue. The fizz diminishes after the inhale, leaving a stronger, sweeter taste which lingers after you exhale. The ice is very light, and the sweetness is present without being overpowering.
The Bar Salts here were tested extensively using a Vaporesso Xros 3 device with a 0.6Ω pod - a combination we find one of the best ways to vape bar salts. This time round I tested the flavours, then got a second person to test them so we could confer on the flavour notes we found (and how good they were!)
Nicotine salts are a type of nicotine that is found in tobacco leaves. They provide a smoother throat hit than freebase nicotine, which makes them ideal for vapers who prefer using higher-strength e-liquids. Nicotine salts are best used in low-powered starter kits and devices.

Bar salts are a type of nicotine salt e-liquid that gives a stronger flavour concentration and a sweeter taste than regular nic salts. They are ideal for vapers switching from disposable vapes as they replicate the flavour of single-use devices.
